Hentie Bonthuys is a Practising Consultant at Moloto Weiss Attorneys, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for law since he joined the firm in May 2020 .His diverse legal experience started in 1982 and he was admitted as an attorney in 1985.

Hentie boasts an impressive academic background, having studied at Potchefstroom, the University of Port Elizabeth, the University of the Orange Free State, and Rand Afrikaans University (now the University of Johannesburg). His qualifications include a B. Proc, LLB, LLM, and Advanced Diplomas in Labour Law, Conveyancing, and Notary. This robust educational foundation has underpinned his extensive law career, during which he specialised in Conveyancing, Notarial, Commercial, and general law.

Notable moments in Hentie's career includes high-profile cases which were successfully taken to the Appeal Court in Bloemfontein. His practical approach to practicing law, coupled with a genuine commitment to people’s wellbeing, has earned him the title of trustworthy and respected.

Client relationships are a cornerstone of Hentie's practice. He believes in maintaining personal contact and has received heartfelt thanks and tokens of appreciation for his efforts from his clients. His goal at the firm is to build a robust Conveyancing and Notary Practice, collaborating with younger members of the firm to enhance and expand their capabilities.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Hentie is dedicated to community service and actively participates in various organisations. He serves on the board of the “Huis Sering” retirement village, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community. Outside of the workplace, Hentie finds balance and inspiration in outdoor activities, reading and sports.
